  • Submit to the ATF (by email or mail; allow 6–12 weeks for processing)

Export Permit from Your Home Country

Weather

Late September marks the transition from summer to early fall in North Texas. While summer heat can linger, the most intense temperatures have usually passed, and conditions start to become more comfortable.

🌡️ Temperatures

  • Daytime highs: Mid to upper 80s °F
  • Overnight lows: Mid to upper 60s °F
  • It’s still warm, but significantly cooler than August.

🌤️ Sky Conditions

  • Mostly sunny to partly cloudy
  • Occasional overcast days are possible, especially if a cold front is nearby, but not typical.

💨 Wind

  • Light to moderate winds (typically 8–10 mph), often from the south or southeast.
  • Breezy conditions can occur if a weak front moves through.

💧 Precipitation

  • Rain is infrequent but possible.
  • On average, September brings 2–3 inches of rain to the DFW area, with slightly decreasing chances as the month progresses.
  • If rain occurs, it’s often due to pop-up thunderstorms or a passing front, not sustained rain.

💦 Humidity

  • Moderate to low humidity, especially in the mornings and evenings.
  • Much less oppressive than summer, but not fully “crisp fall air” yet.
